Exco Election is held every June. Members are welcome to run for the candidacy of the
positions. The Positions
The President
Serves as the Clubs Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is responsible for general
supervision and operations of the Club.
The Vice President Education (VPE)
Responsible for planning successful Club meetings so that each member has the opportunity
to achieve his or her educational goals. Second-highest ranking Club officer, he or she is
to preside at Club & Exco meetings in the Presidents absence.
The Vice President Membership (VPM)
Responsible for building club membership and assuring a strong membership base by
promoting membership campaigns.
The Vice President Public Relations (VPPR)
Responsible for promoting the Club to local media, maintain the Clubs website &
produce quarterly newsletter.
The Secretary
Handles general Club correspondences & performs administrative duties of the Club.
The Treasurer
Responsible for the proper accounting of Clubs finances and budget. Also to collect
dues from members on time and prepare Financial Statements for the Annual General Meeting.
The Sergeant At Arms (SAA)
Responsible for the Clubs logistical requirements, he or she is to arrange for
Clubs equipment and food to be ready for each Chapter Meeting.
The Immediate Past President (IPP)
A non-election post, this position is established for the previous President to provide
guidance & serves as an advisor to Club officers & members.

Toastmasters Club in Apr 05, he has been actively organising
activities for the Club and held the positions of SAA, VPM and
Webmaster. A guy with a keen sense of humour, he has a penchant

steadily, he is confident that there are wonderful years ahead

Serena Lim, a
practicing professional consultant quantity surveyor in the
construction industry, became the member of the NTU Alumni
Toastmaster Club in 2006 in her quest to better equipped herself
in public speaking and communication skills to face the
challenges of the global economic and social environment. Now
she is still learning to further enhance the skills and reaching
out more to share the experiences! |

Graduated from NTU
Electrical & Electronic Engineering
in 2000 and currently a real estate marketing manager cum
Financial Planner, Paul is a
mix of the traditional and the contemporary. He joined NTU
Alumni Toastmasters
Club in 2007. His hobbies include reading, social networking, watching movies and
listening to music. |

Tay Hong Kiat |

Hong Kiat is a growth orientated
individual, constantly seeking to improve himself both
physically and mentally. He seeks to become more conscious in
the way he lives and work, to be more aware of his strengths,
and how to leverage it to the maximum.
Hong Kiat also believes fervently that continuous learning is
extremely important for the development of an individual, and
thus has a voracious appetite for books, both fiction and
non-fiction. His favourite authors include Dan Kennedy, Robert
Bly and David Oglivy. |

| A founding member, she is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She
works as a Financial Accounting Manager with the Institute of Technical Education (ITE).
Her hobbies include exercising and traveling. |

Lim Beng Wee |
|
Graduated from NTU Accountancy in 2003 and is currently working
as a Senior Internal Auditor in Jurong Town Corporation. A
typical auditor who is serious, observant, critical and
analytical when it comes into money matters. However people who
know him better see him as a friendly and warm person. He is
always ready to extend his warmest welcome to new members and
visitors of the club. |

A founding member, he saw the
outstanding progress of the Club since its inception. He was also the Clubs first
Treasurer and second President. Currently working with IBM Treasury, he joined the Club to
seek improvements in his communications skills and grow together with fellow members. |

Binte Sapari |

A Principal Engineer with SMRT
Trains Ltd, currently working on the up-coming MRT Circle Line
Project. She has been with the Railway Industry for 19 years
ever since graduating from NTI. Her Toastmasters journey began
when she enrolled in the NTUA Toastmasters Club Speechcraft
Workshop in 2006. She dreams of being able to set-up an “Azizah
Sapari Foundation” for the benefits of helping the
under-privileged children and the elderly. |

Working with DBS Bank, she joined
NTU Alumni TMC in 2005. Embarked herself on a journey of great
satisfaction, from the great people she met (and still meeting)
in Toastmasters. But her journey includes not only with
Toastmasters, but with countries that she so much desire to go.
Travelling around the world is her dream...and she is living it

Civil Engineer with over 16 years of post-graduate experience in
the construction industry in Singapore. He is also a contract
consultant experienced in the provision of commercial and
contractual advice to local and international contractors in the
engineering and construction industries. Mr Anthony is also a
well-sought after trainer, speaker and lecturer; covering areas
such as public speaking, leadership, youth development, law,
business, management etc. |
