WE ARE THE CHAMPION!
Every year,
golfers from all the Alumni groups in Singapore under the umbrella of
AIS (Alumni International Singapore) will congregate on the fairways to
compete in the Annual AIS Challenge. Although this is a formal
competition, the mood at this year’s tournament was far more relax and
cordial. In short, every one was there to have a good time and the
fellowship among the golfers provided just that.
Although NTU Alumni Club only fielded a team of 6 golfers for the golf
tournament, they did the club proud by clinching the top honors for the
AIS golf tournament. Based on the aggregate stable ford points of the
top 4 golfers from each team, NTU Alumni Club narrowly edged out the
perennial favorite teams fielded by NUSS and ANUG by a single point.
The final results are as follows:
CHAMPION - NTUAC with 153 Stable ford points
1st Runner-Up - NUSS with 152 Stable ford points
2nd Runner-Up - ANUG with 148 Stable ford points
The Management would like to extend our Heartiest Congratulations to

For
putting to good use his working experience to serve the NTU Alumni
Club, Mr. Chua Leong Chuan, Jeffrey, is presented the Nanyang Alumni
Service Award. A Management Committee member of the NTU Alumni Club
since 2002, Mr. Chua, 47, facilitated the relocation of the club to its
spanking new premises at One-North, off North Bouna Vista Road.
He was actively involved in the move, tapping his working knowledge to
make the process hassle-free. Having harnessed over 20 years of
experience in property and facilities management, his work expertise
came in handy.
Ever ready to serve his alma mater, Mr. Chua was elected the
Vice-President of the Management Committee of the club three years ago.
He helps the club to raise funds for needy NTU students and is the force behind its Fundraising Golf Tournament.
Mr. Chua derives satisfaction from seeing students benefiting from his fundraising effort.
